Auditions for the 2010–2011 Season

InVocation is a Minneapolis-based, 14-voice a cappella choir that presents concerts to raise money for hunger-related nonprofits with whom we partner. We sing in a broad range of musical styles, and are auditioning for one tenor and one baritone position for the 2010–2011 season. Any interested adult singer in the Twin Cities region with a musical background may audition on a “by appointment” basis (contact info below).

Requirements:

• experience in choral singing
  
  
• ability to learn music quickly, independently, and conscientiously
  
  
• commitment for entire season (schedule available at audition)
  
  

The 20-minute audition will consist of tonal memory and rhythm exercises, sight-singing, and vocal range tests. Please bring a prepared piece (art song, folk song, hymn tune). An accompanist may be provided upon request.
